Core Series Intro

The purpose of this website is to encourage believers to yield to God in every aspect of their lives. Our emphasis on a particular view of sanctification is what distinguishes this site’s purpose.

The core distinctive of the YTG Alliance is the central importance of choosing to be surrendering fully to the Spirit presence and ongoing work in our heart; the work of transforming us “from glory to glory” (2 Cor. 3:18), to become “filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph 3:19) through union with Christ (John 15:5). Every truly spiritual Christian act is so because it is either a Spirit-enabled help toward this chosen surrender and reception, or an effect flowing from the union with Christ.

Our doctrinal stance and emphasis is broad enough to include most Christian faith traditions, including Wesleyans, Baptists, Anglicans, Scottish Reformed, Anabaptists, Paleo-Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox, and other Christians.

Core: The Miracle Received- God Himself

Summary: It is not our self-effort, Bible-reading, or talking to God in prayer that will make us holy. The only way we will be truly filled with spiritual love, joy, peace, patience, and the other fruits of the Spirit is by the presence of God Himself.

Core: Trinity…Love…Theosis

Summary: God is the Creator, who made man in His own image for relationship with Him. As He is an eternal Trinity of interpenetrating love, this has profound implications for what it means to be made “in the image of God” and invited into relationship with Him through the work of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Core: The Nature of Faith

Summary: So what is it? Most Christians can’t answer this question. In this article, we explore it in depth. Faith is the condition and the openness of heart by which we receive relationship and salvation from God.

Core: Doctrinal Emphasis

Summary: This document contains a bullet-point synopsis of our doctrinal emphasis, along with Scripture references. After each point, you have the option to scroll through a more detailed articulation. Reading the bullet points takes the ‘average’ reader about five minutes. Reading the entire thing: 30 minutes or so.

“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, bestow your grace upon us.”
